We developed the hotel design concept from its geographical and historical context. We were inspired by the Costa Verde cliffs where the edge of the city meets the sea.
Our main aim was to emphasize a vertical design, based on noble and native materials of the country that would highlight the best of the building's architecture.
The Morai ruins with their unique geometry, the sea and the talamoye stone, among others, were key elements that we reinterpreted to generate different layers to a unique hotel.
The public space was reorganized, lowering the reception to the first floor, and generating a second floor around Peruvian gastronomy.
This included a complete remake of the main La Vista restaurant, a new JW Market café, and a featured bar in the middle of the space that included a sushi bar.
In the guest rooms, we sought to maximize the space by opening the bathroom and generating a circuit around the closet. This allowed us to create a room of spectacular proportions, fun and finished with noble materials that are based on the tremendous cultural heritage that the city of Lima has This translated into elements inspired by colonial shapes that appear in embroidery on the back of the bed, closet and main lamps, generating a final layer of luxury to the rooms..
